Who we are

Booty Clicker and this website are run by Little Clicks Studios (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

The short version

• You don't need an account to play, and we never sell your information.
• Your game save stays on your device. We don't receive a copy.
• This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
• The game uses Google Analytics to understand how it is played (details below).
• If you contact us, we keep your message so we can reply.

This website (bootyclicker.app)

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

• Theme choice. If you switch between light and dark mode, we remember your choice in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
• Server logs. The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn't send your details to font or image services.

The contact form

When you send a message we store your name, email address, the topic you chose, your message and your browser's user-agent string. We use them only to read and reply to your message, and we keep them for as long as we need to deal with it. To limit spam we also count messages per sender for up to an hour, using a scrambled code made from your IP address and a secret key that changes every day. It is stored separately from your message, and without our secret key it can't be turned back into your IP address or linked to you on another day.

Messages are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, part of Google Firebase. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.

The game (play.bootyclicker.app)

Your save

Your progress is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. We don't receive it, which also means we can't recover it if it is deleted. You can export and import it yourself from the in-game menu.

Google Analytics

The game uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to help us understand how people play and what to improve. It records gameplay events such as starting the game, clicking the chest, buying or selling buildings and changing theme, together with the numbers involved. Google also collects standard information about your device and browser, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart (see our cookie policy).

We only see reports of this data, not who you are. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings, tracker-blocking extensions or Google's opt-out add-on, and the game works exactly the same. Google may process this data outside the UK and EU under its own safeguards.

Other services

Our Discord server is run by Discord, not by us, and Discord's own privacy policy applies there. We don't share your information with anyone else except where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under UK and EU data protection law, you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before using the contact form. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
