Buildings are the heart of Booty Clicker. Each one earns booty every second without any clicking, and there are 24 of them, from a humble Ancient Map to a full Captain's Crew.
The rules
- Unlocking: the next building appears once you have bought at least one of the building before it.
- Price growth: every copy you own makes the next one 12% more expensive.
- Selling: you get back 50% of what those copies cost you.
- Limit: you can own up to 1,000 of each building.

Costs and output below are the base values for the first copy, before upgrades, prestige or bonuses. Payback is how long the first copy takes to earn back its own price.

Getting the most out of them
Compare payback times, not prices. Because each copy costs 12% more than the last, your 20th Ancient Map takes more than eight times longer to pay for itself than your first. At that point a newer building is almost always the better buy.
- Unlock the next building early. Buying a single copy of each new building opens up the one after it, and the newest building is usually the best value per booty.
- Hit the upgrade thresholds. The first 20 buildings each have 10 upgrades that unlock at 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 owned. Pushing a building to the next threshold is often worth more than spreading out. See the upgrades guide.
- Sell sparingly. Selling only refunds half, so it is only worth it when you need a quick top-up for an upgrade that is just out of reach.
- Total count matters too. Production upgrades unlock based on how many buildings you have bought in total, across every type.
